Every stage builds the skills, confidence and team-first mindset that define Bothell Lacrosse.
THE 5/6 EXPERIENCE
LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME
At 5/6, the focus begins shifting from simply learning skills to understanding how and when to use them. Players continue refining stickwork, dodging, shooting, ground balls, defensive footwork, and off-ball movement while being introduced to more advanced team concepts, transition play, offensive spacing, defensive communication, and position-specific responsibilities. Players are encouraged to play fast, make decisions, solve problems on the field, and begin developing their individual style of play. This stage is an important bridge between fundamental development and competitive lacrosse, with an increasing emphasis on game IQ, teamwork, effort, and applying skills under pressure.
